I have always loved animals and learning how they think. After more than a decade working as a veterinary nurse, I saw how confusing and overwhelming dog training and behaviour advice can be for families, especially with a new puppy. That is why I started My Pet Tutor, to give pet parents practical, kind, science based support without judgement.
I am passionate about helping families raise calm, confident dogs and making sure pets feel safe and understood at home and at the vet. I especially love working with puppies and nervous dogs, and helping them learn that the world is a safe place.
I currently work in the Veterinary clinic at the Australian Animal Protection Society as the Customer Care Coordinator, where I support pet owners, adopters, and veterinary teams with compassionate care, education, and guidance.
Before this, I worked full time Nursing at Kingston Veterinary Hospital. I still have a close relationship with the Kingston Vet team and you will still see me in clinic from time to time.
Through My Pet Tutor, I offer puppy school classes, in home dog training, and behaviour consultations across Melbourne, Kingston, Bayside, and surrounding suburbs.
I work with common puppy and family dog challenges such as biting, toilet training, leash pulling, anxiety, fear, resource guarding, and settling into the home.
I have a special interest in helping dogs feel comfortable during veterinary visits, grooming, and everyday handling, and I use kind, science based, reward focused training methods tailored to each family and their pet.
Every pet and household is different, so I create realistic training plans that fit your lifestyle and goals.
I cannot prescribe medication, but I can help monitor how behaviour plans are progressing, support training alongside medical treatment, and guide you on when to speak with a veterinarian.
When I am not working, I am usually in my chaotic animal household.
-
Chakra is our cat and the undisputed boss, a professional food critic and social butterfly.
-
Laila is our Jack Russell and BALL. IS. LIFE.
-
MooMoo is our 50 kg Boerboel and a giant scaredy cat who firmly believes she is lap sized.
-
We also share our home with birds, reptiles, fish, frogs, and assorted creepy crawlies.
Living with my own little zoo keeps me grounded in real life pet chaos and helps me support families with practical, realistic training.
My goal is to make training achievable, positive, and fun.
Real dogs, real homes, no judgement.

Since 2016, I have been a volunteer at Act 4 Bali Dogs. My responsibilities involve bringing supplies and donations, as well as caring for the dogs.
In addition to my work with Act 4 Bali Dogs, I have also been involved in organizing adoption events and fundraisers to support the cause. The community's response has been overwhelming, with many people stepping forward to provide forever homes for these deserving animals. It is incredible to witness the impact that each individual can make in the lives of these dogs.
I joined Jade in teaching puppy Preschool in 2023.
Witnessing the growth of the puppies each week and observing the newfound confidence of first-time puppy owners is truly fulfilling. During our visits to local parks, we often encounter our former puppies, now fully grown. It is heartwarming to see those familiar faces thriving.
